“Tolerance is for cowards.”

“Being tolerant requires nothing from you but to be quiet and to not make waves, holding tightly to your views and judgments without being challenged. Do not tolerate each other. Work hard, move into uncomfortable territory and understand each other.”

Two more quotes on tolerance:

“In the world it is called Tolerance, but in hell it is called Despair, the sin that believes in nothing, cares for nothing, seeks to know nothing, interferes with nothing, enjoys nothing, hates nothing, finds purpose in nothing, lives for nothing, and remains alive because there is nothing for which it will die.”

“Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society.”

  1. Brilliant. For a moment I wasn’t sure what I was reading exactly but the tolerance and apathy really struck home. Tolerance is the easy was out- it involves just standing there liking it or not. Apathy is what makes use both pull away as too not speak but also not to care about knowing.
Empathy is not the enemy; it fact it has saved the world more than we could ever give it for. The right away and the easy way usually have little to do which each other.

    Great thought provoking work.
